eligibility and criteria

  • To be eligible for the Qiushi Scholarship, applicants must be citizens of a country other than China and possess a valid passport. Additionally, they must meet the conditions specified in Document No. 12 (2020) issued by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China.
  • Candidates must hold a high school diploma and be below the age of 25 to be eligible for the Qiushi Scholarship. If applicants are under 18 years old as of September 1st, 2023, they must provide the original guardian certificate issued by the Tianjin District Notary Office. The designated guardian must be a permanent
  • For applicants to Chinese-taught programs, the submission of HSK certificates is necessary. A minimum requirement of HSK4 with a score of 180 or above is needed for programs offered by the School of International Education. For other programs, a minimum of HSK5 with a score of 180 or above is required. However, applicants whose mother tongue is Chinese or who have completed their high school education in Chinese as the medium of instruction are exempted from providing HSK results.t resident of Tianjin.
